Andrew R. Mancini Receives Award
Jan 1, 2012The Binghamton Boys and Girls club building is receiving national accolades.
OGGI Concrete Forms and Accessories won an award from ICF Builder Magazine, a nationally syndicated publication.
The Endicott company was recognized for using an insulated concrete forming system, when constructing the new Clinton street club.
The magazine judged the structure based on creativity, significance, and difficulty to build.
OGGI says it was also the only non-profit building in it's division to win recognition.
"It's exciting for the whole company to be involved in a project like this because week now the benefit not just for the kids involved but for the community and for future kids," said Carolyn Mancini, with OGGI.
The system will also save the club money on it's energy bills, which can be used to funds kids programs.
The project architects from Keystone Associates and the general contractor from Andrew R. Mancini Associates were also honored.
